A Little History
In August of 2001, the three Lamb sisters--Jenny, Wally and Vicki--created a down-home diner in what their parents called "The Garden Spot of the world."  Plymouth's downtown had begun to "come alive" again and the sisters wanted to be a part of the revitalization.

Downtown needed a small-scale restaurant so the three bought one of the early 1900s buildings on Water Street, running alongside the Roanoke River. Wanting to create a homey atmosphere, they began to refurbish it with attention to many of the original details that gave it so much character, like the tin ceilings and old light fixtures.

The sisters inherited their parents love for Plymouth and the surrounding area and the atmosphere in the cafe reflects those feelings--homey, comfortable and welcoming.  Locals and travelers have been enjoying their down-home cookin' and hospitality for nearly a decade.

Stop by and enjoy a traditional meal....or try something new! You can find the best of both worlds at The Garden Spot Cafe!
